It's wonderful to know that via Jaxon Grant novels, readers can be hypnotized and seduced by wicked drama and undeniable heat that is delivered time and time again by this talented writer. Now, in the third installment of Life of a College Bandsman, Jaxon brings back a maturing but yet, innocent Zach Finley as he engages in wanton sexual explorations with Chaz, his ex-boyfriend; Amir, the ex-roommate and friend of his ex-boyfriend Eric, and a few one night stands while juggling his role as a friend and confidant to Micha, Kris, Keli, Will and Dwight Taylor, the man who he is in love with. This book is another triumph for Jaxon Grant as he expands the range of character development of current players and the introduction of new characters via accounts of rip-roaring drama, accusations, betrayals, discoveries, truths and revenge. As a result, characters are faced with consequences and realities of their actions as they move beyond their mistakes and conform to making smarter and wise choices by thinking with organs that are above the waist instead of below it--that goes for the women in this series as well. What must be noted is that the women in this book are bigger dogs than the men; Genevieve is a true HO! Sexing Chaz, Dwight and Will--that woman is PURE TRASH! Then we have Cat, a supposedly lesbian and best friend of India, the girlfriend of Dwight, who cannot get enough of Exclusive. Genevieve, Cat and god knows who else is addicted to Exclusive. It seems that before the LOACB series is done, Exclusive will be the root of many problems. Michelle, the Harris brothers little sister, is an up and coming ho because she is sexing Ced, Dwight's little brother, and maybe more. Let's not forget Rozi, Eric and Black's little sister, sexing both Amir and Mica around the same time. It's just a bunch of sexual activities among the young. Beyond the sexual escapades, this book has so many twist and turns that had me riveted to the book from beginning to end that will be answered in book 4 (Hell on Earth). For instance, what dude is Kris using to get his revenge on Mica for sleeping with Rozi? Will Mica and Lamar move beyond a platonic friendship? What other secrets is Will hiding? Will Chaz learn that Genevieve slept with both Dwight and Will? Will Black confess his true feelings to RJ? Will Phil get his wish and break up Raidon and Tony's relationship? Will Killa regret not using a condom each time he slept with Phil? Will Eric return to cause trouble for Chaz? Will Amir learn that he is a father? What will be the status of Dwight and Zach's relationship? Only Jaxon Grant knows the answers to those questions of this dynamic Soap Opera. LOACB is a well-written book that is full of interesting and gripping stories that makes the reader take the time to invest in the characters, the plot, the conflicts and the world of the book. As usual the stories flow easily at the start and never slows down. This is a damn entertaining book that made me think that the truth if stranger than fiction. Jaxon Grant continues to deliver for the readers.
